MARO features a wide silhouette with a balanced foam footbed. Firm for support, soft underfoot. A single artisan-woven strap wraps securely over the foot, and the moulded anti-slip outsole holds it stable.


Handmade in the Mediterranean, developed with over 90% bio-based sourcing, including natural latex rubber and sugarcane foam.


Your sandals may feel snug at first — this is intentional. The natural woven yarn stretches and moulds to your foot over the first few wears, like breaking in leather or denim, for a fit that becomes your own.


If you are between sizes, the larger size is recommended.

Behind MARO

The broadest silhouette in the collection.

Maro is the Esperanto word for the sea. The open water, vast and unbroken. The single wide strap carries that same expanse, spanning the full breadth of the foot in one uninterrupted line.

MARO is the slide, considered: a broad artisan-woven strap, a firm foam footbed, a sculptural rubber sole. The essential slide.

The strap softens with each wear, settling to the shape of the foot. Worn in the city or along the coast, easy underfoot.

Personalisation

Each pair can be personalised by hand on the footbed.

A name. Initials. A date. A place. Or any detail that carries personal meaning.

Every marking is pressed in our Paris studio using bronze tooling by Maison Alivon, crafted in Paris since 1812.
The oldest, and last remaining, maker of bronze typefaces in the world. Set in their signature No. 676, a modern sans-serif.
